Thoré de Bethune formerly resided Sigelhundas and Montengarde. He retired from the SCA in 2015/ASLIX(?). He was famed for his extensive Cavalier wardrobe and goes down in Avacal history as one of our most legendary rapier fighters.
Thoré had 8 cadets: Francis Coulter Hill, Tristram ap Emrys ap Iago, Rhoswen Mary MacLean, Shamus Van Der Pontseele, Pol of the Black Fist and Mafeo Cardinalli. Bjar the Blue claims heritage as Don Thoré's first and only cadet to be admitted into the Order of the White Scarf, and Maestro Tommaso Tiepolo was the first to be elevated to the Order of Defense, followed by Magnifico Bjar the Blue.
Thoré is the founding father of House Fine Lames.

Thoré joined the SCA in 1993 in Montengarde. Formerly cadet to Artemis de Montessori, he received his White Scarf at May Crown in 1997. He was past Baronial rapier champion of Montengarde, past Baronial rapier champion of Myrgan Wood, past Avacal Crown Principality rapier champion, and 3-time past Avacal Principality rapier champion. He has only entered An Tir champions twice, coming second both times.
His last known event was Beltaine 2015.
