The Order of the White Scarf of Avacal is bestowed by the Crown to an individual who demonstrates excellence in rapier combat within Avacal. Membership carries a Grant of Arms and is awarded by the Crown to those who have shown excellence in rapier combat. Members often use the title "Don" or equivalent. Some members of the order choose to take on formal students who are known as cadets.
