Meistres Manyra Thorinsdottir has been a member of the SCA since 1995. She is a 12th C Welsh widow born near Cilgarren Castle. Her first SCA event was Feast of Stories in Seagirt/Saint Giles. She currently resides in the Kingdom of Avacal in King's Land..

At Avacal November Coronet 2005 she was elevated to the Order of the Pelican, possibly for helping establish the Shire of Rhuddglyn (which was elevated to full status at that event), holding the office of Principality Chronicler for 4 years and autocrating numerous events. Her great love outside of holding office is anything about King Arthur. On the side Manyra dabbles in heraldry, designing achievements and wants to learn more about scribal arts. Often pretends she knows how to write and wants to write about so many topics that the articles never seem to get done.
