Royal patron is a royal [[peer]] who acts as an advisor to a shire, college, or other branch that does not have direct access to the Landed Nobility or Crown.


The relationship between a branch and the Royal Patron is at the pleasure of the branch, the Royal Patron, and with the consent of the Crown. Royal Patrons are in direct fealty to the Crown.
The purpose of the Royal Patron is to provide guidance, mentorship, and a voice to the Crown and the Nobles Estate for those branches who desire it.


A Royal Patron may:
;a. Royal Peers or former Territorial Barons and Baronesses may be appointed as Royal Patron by the Crown upon agreement by the populace of the branch.
;b. The Royal Patron and the members of the branch must confirm their agreement to continue the relationship to the Crown annually.
;c. This relationship may be terminated at any time by the branch, the Royal Patron or the Crown.
;d. Royal Patrons shall:
:i. Be in fealty to the Crown
:ii. Receive copies of reports from branch officers.
:iii. Report to the Crown and Heirs on the state of the Branch one month before Coronation
:iv. Act as an advocate for the Branch and represent the branch in meetings of the Noble Estate and in all ways act in the best interest of the branch.
;v. Royal Patrons shall not hold court on their own.


* Royal Patrons may request permission from the Crown to hold court. Permission shall be given on a case by case basis.

* Raise war bands.
* Receive branch officer reports.

* Represent the branch at Noble Estate Meetings.
