- Order of the Horn and Sword
When Avacal became a Kingdom many of the awards of Montengarde were updated to pass as a kingdom. To that end Peter von Setzingen and Brangwayn Hessen did split the former Order of the Horns of the Minotaur into two streams.
The Order of the Horn and Sword is to be bestowed upon those individuals whose actions on the field best exemplify the pursuit of honour and glory in the name of the Barony of Montengarde and whose actions and leadership we as the populace can take pride in.
The wording of the First Scroll as crafted by Baron Peter:
- "A Warrior who fights with tenacity and skill will win the day. But a Warrior who fights with chivalry and honour, and teaches others to do the same, is a leader. These are the qualities that are looked for in members of the Order of the Horn and Sword. Thus we would invite ___________________ to join this order, and ask them to continue to strengthen our Barony.
- Done this ____ day of _____________, during the reign of Peter and Brangwayn, in the Year of the Society ____."
