Current persona stems from the history of Český Krumlov Castle in what is now Czechia, and a UNESCO world heritage site. Heraldry is inspired by the bears kept in the castle moat.
The Stráž name comes from the Lords of Stráž, a branch of the Vítkovci family after the Division of the Roses.
