Kingdom Populace Badges: Difference between revisions

Those SCAdians of Avacal that wish to show their membership, affiliation or similar may display the Kingdom Populace badges. Anyone may use them to show their Avacal pride, and they may display these badges on banners, flags, clothing, dishes, furniture, and so on. They belong to the people of Avacal.

Avacal has one populace badges: badge with border, fieldless badge, and flag ensign. The ensign is not truly a badge and must only be used with flags. Heralds and official documents may refer to them by their blazon, or written description.

As with other heraldic arms, the populace badges should be treated with respect. They represent the people of the kingdom, not just the nobility; dishonorable use or display may result in repercussions. Additionally, certain arms may be connected to vendor rights (i.e., certain vendors may have official or legal right to produce items for sale with the arms). Individuals are encouraged to contact their local or the kingdom offices with questions and concerns about the display and use of the badges.

Mundane description: The background is a gold (or yellow) and silver (or white) Quartered background with a red (gules) griffin head on it.
