Household legends
Once on a winter war long past Alfhiem drank many casks of mead. When none watched he climbed the walls of the long hall and sat upon the rafters and fell asleep. No one remembers how he got down, but to this day brother Volchok keeps Alfhiem in check lest he booze to hard and wake up in fields unknown.
Once on a Quad war long past young warriors too green pitifully failed to break down the castle gate by battering Ram. Alfhiem growing restless commanded them to make way and charged the gate with his body, he slammed the door so hard the walls shook and the door gave way. Only after the battle fell quiet did he realize he broke a few ribs.
Once during peacetime Smiðr, Alfhiem and Rorik went to gather wood while drinking spirits, But no deadfall would do. Smiðr boasting of his axe skill took his camp axe and felled a mighty tree. The three drug it back to camp and hacked off its limbs. “We’ll need a saw” said Alfhiem and rorik went with him. “I need no saw, I’ve stacked bonfires alone by axe” proclaimed Smiðr. Nary three strikes more his grip slipped and hewed his shin. Luckily Smiðr is better at dressing his wounds while drunk than hewing logs.
