Dáire Ó Lochlainn is late-10th century Hiberno-Norse, born 966. Living in the northwest of Ireland, he is one of the many famuli in service to the Columban monastery at Derry. His primary roles are as a labourer in the adjacent monastic holdings, and to care for the pack animals of the Brothers when they travel.
