Life alone on the road is hard, and upon weighing his options, he found the prospect of glorious mercenary work to be quite romantic. Wielding stolen armaments he joined a muster of Landsknechte passing through and was recruited into their ranks. He went on to be employed within the ranks of a wealthier captain's staff.
