Sorcha de Lenche was born in 1169 in Galway, Ireland, daughter to the Norman lord Robert de Lenche and an Irish chieftain's daughter. She is fan of the music of Hildegard von Bingen and studying the art of Opus Anglicanum embroidery.

Within the Society, Sorcha likes to do historical embroidery, illumination, costuming, singing, cooking and leather tooling. She is a member of the [[House Fine Lames|Fines Lames]] household and [[Polyphonia (Group)|Polyphonia]].

Sorcha is the current Arts & Sciences officer for [[Montengarde]].

==About House Fine Lames==

House Fine Lames (that's French, and pronounced Finn Lahm, for any philistines who may visit) was formed in the mid 1990's by a small group of late period French personas who banded together so as not to be consumed by the hordes of Vikings who surrounded them. They soon adopted a few more folks, who, while not French, nor as late period, had lovely singing voices and great garb. Over the years we have added like-minded friends.

And so, the household consists of, and is open to, people who dress well, sing well, fight well, dance well, and costume well (pick any 3 or more!). We're a pretty low-key household - there's not a lot of advertising or requirements made of members - we're just people who share common interests, and therefore often camp together, eat together at feasts, and so on.

== History ==
Polyphonia is [[Montengarde]]'s Music Group started by Lady [[Margareta vanden Velde]] in 2003 as a choral group determined to sing and perform period songs from memory. Polyphonia has self-recorded 2 CD's "Music for Christmas and Any Other Season" and "Polyphonia Puts the F in F Sharp."

In 2016 the performed with [[Anys Bradwardyn]] the Count Albrecht von Rugen song, a practice copy of which was put up on youtube. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQLL3WaeZv4&feature=youtu.be]

As of 2016 the group is still meeting regularily to practice and will often perform at one or two events a year.

The Wild Rose is the title of the Bardic Champion of [[Montengarde]]. This championship tournament is run at [[Montengarde Beltaine]] event in the spring or at [[Montengarde Samhain]] in the fall depending on which is running.
